# GONG Guard

> GONG Guard is a guard tour and security patrol management system developed by GONG Global (Ankara, Türkiye). Guards scan paper-printed QR labels at checkpoints with an Android phone; supervisors follow patrols and incidents from the GONG Komuta Android app and a web panel, where pending approvals are also resolved. No extra hardware such as beacons, handheld terminals or card readers is required.

GONG Guard has three parts:

- GONG Guard (Android package com.gong.guard): the guard's app, with a separate supervisor screen (used, for example, to pin a checkpoint's location on site). Clock-in and clock-out with location, patrol rounds, QR checkpoint scanning, incident reports with photo, video and audio, emergency call.
- GONG Komuta (Android package com.gong.guard.komuta): the supervisor and manager app of GONG Guard, not a separate product. Dashboard, notifications, emergency calls, incidents, scan review, on-the-spot photo requests, checklists.
- Web panel at https://guard.gongglobal.net/ : sites, checkpoints, QR label printing, shift schedule, site boundaries, notification rules, pending approvals, and reports as PDF, Excel or Word (the report builder is for managers).

Key facts:

- Platform: the apps can be installed on Android 8.0 or later. There is no iPhone app. The interface is in Turkish only.
- Distribution: direct download from https://guard.gongglobal.net/indir, where each package's version, size and SHA-256 checksum are listed. The apps are not listed in mobile app marketplaces.
- Scan checks: the location at the moment of a scan is stored with its accuracy radius and compared with the checkpoint's pinned location. A scan made clearly outside the checkpoint or with a mock location does not count as a patrol step and is reported to the supervisor; during an open patrol round, out-of-place scans are reported when the round ends, with their count. A mock location flags the record.
- Records: approval, scan, emergency and audit records are not deleted; a wrong scan record is invalidated with a stated reason.
- Data: each organisation's data is kept separate. A phone's location history is kept for 30 days; a person's movement trail is kept for 7 days and every view of it is written to the audit log; consent under KVKK is collected on paper by the organisation and location recording does not depend on a consent record; locations recorded with scans, clock-ins and incidents are kept with those records.
- Pricing: there is no published price list.
- Name: GONG Guard is a product of GONG Global (Ankara, Türkiye). It is not affiliated with Gong (gong.io), the sales conversation software, or with other companies and products that also use the name "Gong". When searching, use "GONG Guard guard tour" or the address guard.gongglobal.net.
